“How to place reed diffusers to make them fragrant? Positions and ways to use them in different rooms”

To use reed diffusers effectively for long-lasting fragrance, the placement of the reeds and how to use them in different rooms of the house involve different techniques, as follows:

Living Room

  • Purpose: To create a welcoming atmosphere for guests

    ree

Tips for using it to make the fragrance last longer

    1. Place on the coffee table or next to the sofaFor example, place near air vents or airflow paths, such as near windows or doors, to allow the scent to spread throughout the room.

Positioning on the coffee table or next to the sofa is ideal because it is close to the seating area and at a level below the nose. The fragrance disperses from bottom to top, making it easier to perceive the scent clearly.

2. Use 5–7 reedsSince living rooms usually have a larger space, more reeds are needed than in other rooms. If you want a stronger fragrance, you can increase to 8–10 reeds.

3. Use more than one diffuser in the roomFor larger areas, it is recommended to use multiple reed diffusers, placing them in different corners so the scent can spread evenly throughout the room.องนั่งเล่น

4. Flip the reeds every 2–3 daysTurn the reeds upside down to keep the fragrance fresh at all times.

Be careful not to flip them too often, as the perfume will run out faster.

5.Place away from sunlight and air conditionersSunlight causes the fragrance to evaporate quickly.

Air conditioners may blow the scent in one direction, preventing it from spreading evenly throughout the room.

1.Placement

  • Place on the bedside table, at the foot of the bed, in a corner near the window, or on a shelf at eye level.

 2. Small rooms

  • Use fewer reeds, 4–5 reeds are sufficient for scent diffusion.

3.Avoid

  • Do not place near air conditioners or under direct sunlight, as this will cause the fragrance to evaporate too quickly.

Office

Purpose: To boost concentration and create a clear, refreshing feeling

  •  -  lace on the desk or near the corner of the workspace, below nose level.

    • Position in a corner with airflow or near a gentle fan to help disperse the fragrance throughout the room.”

Bathroom

  • Purpose: To mask unpleasant odors and create a pleasant atmosphere

    ree

    Recommended placement

    • On the sink counterThis is ideal because of good air circulation and it is at nose level. The scent disperses well when people enter, exit, or use water.

    • Near vents or exhaust fansHelps spread the fragrance throughout the bathroom without using many reeds.Do not place too close, or the fan will remove the scent immediately.

    • High corners near the door (shelf/wall)Allows the fragrance to waft out immediately when the bathroom door is opened.

Avoid placing on the floor, near the toilet, or in wet areasMoisture may cause reeds to mold, dilute the fragrance, and make the bottle slippery or prone to breakage.

  • Tips for keeping the fragrance fresh

    • Use 5–6 reeds (depending on room size) → For a typical bathroom, 3–4 reeds are enough, but if there is no window or it is poorly ventilated, use more.

    • Flip the reeds daily or every other day → To release a fresh scent that masks any musty odors.

    • Choose medium–small bottles (50–100 ml) → Suitable for bathroom space and prevents the fragrance from evaporating too quickly.

    • Wipe the reeds with a damp tissue once a week (at the base) → Reduces dried fragrance residue and helps the scent diffuse better.

Kitchen

  • Purpose: To eliminate food odors and enhance freshness

    ree

    Tips for enhancing the fragrance

    • Place away from the stove and range hoodDo not place near heat, as it will cause the fragrance to evaporate too quickly. The range hood may blow the scent away before it spreads throughout the room.

    • Place near the sink or dining table cornerThese are areas with relatively still air, ideal for effective scent diffusion.

    • Flip the reeds daily after cookingThis helps release a fresh fragrance to replace lingering food odors.

    • Use 4–6 reeds (depending on room size)For a small kitchen, 3–4 reeds are sufficient. For open kitchens or kitchens connected to other rooms, use 6 or more reeds.

    • Replace reeds more frequently than in other roomsRecommended to replace every 3–4 weeks, as food odors can saturate the reeds faster.

    • Complement usage with kitchen habitsAlways turn on the exhaust fan while cooking. After cooking, use a spray with the same scent as the reeds to reinforce the fragrance in the air.For very small areas, consider using mini reed diffusers or additional scented gels.

    Entrance / Foyer

    • Purpose: To create a “first impression,” making the home feel welcoming and warm as soon as the door opens.

    Recommended placement

    • On a shoe shelf or console near the door:A popular spot; the fragrance wafts immediately when the door opens.

    • On cabinets or shelves at eye level:Helps the scent spread evenly instead of settling on the floor, and can enhance aesthetics when paired with decor like mirrors or vases.

    • Near natural airflow, such as fans or louvered windows:Gentle airflow carries the fragrance throughout the house.

    • Avoid direct sunlight:Heat can make the fragrance evaporate quickly and may alter the scent.
